In most cases, we should be able to estimate the cost of your surgery beforehand, and our staff will help you finalize your financial arrangements prior to your surgery. You will be asked to pay any deductible or co-insurance at the time of your surgery unless other arrangements have been made in advance. The surgery Center of Columbia accepts cash, check, VISA and MasterCard. Charges Billing for the Surgery Center of Columbia is separate. We charge for the use of the Center that includes the cost of the operating room, recovery room, and supplies for your surgery. Your surgeon, anesthesiologist, radiologist and pathologist (if applicable) will bill you separately for their services. We will file any insurance claim if the |
proper
information is given. However, due to the numerous types of insurance companies
and all of their different policies, we ask that each patient be responsible for
following through with any specific requirements that your insurance company may
have, such as a referral from your primary care physician or a second opinion.
This will help to ensure that you receive the maximum benefit allowed by your
insurance company.
