In Preparation For Surgery

Your surgeon will be performing the procedure at our Center, assisted by our registered nurses and skilled technicians. If your surgery requires anesthesia, we will provide the anesthesiologist to complete your team of medical experts. To ensure a safe procedure, please follow these guidelines.

bullet
Do not eat or drink anything (including water) after
midnight prior to your surgery. Undigested food in the
stomach can cause complications, and your surgery is l
likely to be postponed if you do not follow instructions.
bullet
Do not take any medications the morning of surgery
unless approved by anesthesia or surgery center
personnel. Bring a list of all medications you take with
you.
bullet
Notify our Center if you have any health changes such
as a cold or elevated temperature.
bullet
Bathe or shower the morning of your surgery to minimize the
risk of infection.
bullet
You may brush your teeth and use mouthwash the morning
of your surgery. Do not swallow any water.
bullet
Please leave jewelry and other valuable items at home for
safe keeping.
bullet
You may be asked to remove contact lenses, dentures, and
other prostheses when you dress for surgery.
bullet
Wear casual, loose fitting clothing so you will be comfortable
when you leave our facility.
bullet
Unless otherwise instructed, plan to arrive at the surgery center
at least one hour prior to your scheduled surgery time.
